Ministries for All Ages

There are so many ways to get involved in a ministry at Lincoln United Methodist Church. Please take some time to look over the different ministries to see where you might like to get involved.

More Volunteer Opportunities!

Heifer Project: Keep the change coming in the Sunday collection plate! Each Christmas the children and young adults select animals to send to Africa funded by your loose coins put in the collection plates.

See's Candy for Soldiers: In December, we collect donations to send candy to our service men and women overseas.  Please put your donation in the Sunday collection plate in the specially marked envelopes.  In 2014, we collected almost $500!

Stamps for Marion Mission Storehouse (MMS): Suzie and Gunnar are continuing the stamp project! Baskets for your stamps - used or new, foreign or domestic - are in the sanctuary and downstairs. Remember to trim them with a 1/4 inch border. The stamps are sent to the MMS in Marion, Indiana, to help support missionaries in Africa. The proceeds from the sale of the stamps and contributions go toward purchasing a container and shipping costs of the container which is filled with clothing for infants, children, teens and adults, all sizes of shoes, bandages, fabric and sewing items, bedding and linens. Cost for the container is approximately $4000 and shipping of the container to the missionaries in Africa is about $16,000. Containers are shipped once they're filled. Keep those stamps coming!

Card Ministry: This is one of our ongoing church ministries. The committee members send cards to provide loving Christian support for our church family and friends. The committee welcomes additional help with this valuable, rewarding ministry. If you would like to help either on a regular or part-time basis, please talk to Liz!

Camera Work: Are you interested in working the camera on some Sundays? See Harley!

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,
I was a stranger and you invited me in,
I needed clothes and you clothed me,
I was sick and you looked after me,
I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
Matthew 25: 35-36
