Gary McAnally became the pastor of Lincoln UMC in 2007 after working in the business world for over 26 years.  Pastor Gary worked for Hewlett Packard developing software before moving into management in research and development.  He eventually became a General Manager of a Networking Division in Roseville. 

Pastor Gary’s faith journey continued to deepen while working in business.  After leaving HP in 2001, he entered seminary in 2004 at Pacific School of Religion in Berkley, graduating in 2007 with a Masters of Divinity.  He was then ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church in 2011.

His faith journey, shaped by the local church and some wonderful pastors, has been greatly influenced by spiritual retreats such as The Walk To Emmaus, Chrysalis (teenage version of Emmaus) and Kairos Prison Ministry.  He brings a commitment to reaching others in Christ by continuing to participate in these programs.

Gary and his wife Chris have been happily married for 37 years and have two adult sons and families living in the area.
